About Katie’s Picture
That’s my friend Joe sitting on top of the South Summit of Lone Peak. I’m standing on the North Summit. We just climbed that cliff underneath him. We started hiking at 6am from the city into the Lone Peak Cirque and by 1pm we were on the wall. This place is amazing. The granite walls and the routes are incredible. I’ve always wanted to climb here and it was so much more amazing that I ever could have imagined it to be. (I need bigger words here to describe it. Incredible and amazing just don’t do it justice) I don’t think climbing will ever be so satisfying. At the end of the day when everyone in the city was suffering in over 100 degree weather, we drank melting snow and slept under the stars at the base of the cliffs. When I woke up the next morning, I still couldn’t believe where I was. Plus I didn’t puke, crap my pants, or fall while climbing, which in itself is unbelievable on a difficult climb at 11,000 feet of elevation after a long hard hike.
About Sadie’s Picture
So I met a man person. Shocking, I know. He seems to be very sweet. Which is a rarity, sadly. He came over for a breakfast date today after work (we both work overnights) and he brought me a rose. I was shocked. I haven’t gotten a flower from a guy in years. Like many multiple years. I can’t even recall the last time I got flowers, other than from my mom or a girlfriend. So he gets some points. We’ll see what happens, and if he can manage to keep those points.
